FFL Transfers

Please select the situation that applies to you below:

  1. I purchased a firearm and plan to have it delivered (transferred) to Dance's Sporting Goods to complete the transaction.
  2. I am considering purchasing a firearm online and having Dance's Sporting Goods complete the transaction.
  3. I have a firearm that needs to be shipped from me to another dealer.

 

 

 

 

If you are considering purchasing a firearm online from another dealer and having it transferred through Dance's Sporting Goods, please read the bullet points below:

  • You must be 21 years of age to transfer any Modern Sporting Weapon through Dance's Sporting Goods. This includes but is not limited to: ARs, AKs, SCARs, certain bullpup designs, etc.
  • Currently, our transfer fee is $50 each. Transfers of 3 or more guns at the SAME TIME will be $40 each.
  • NFA transfers (SBRs, SBSs, Silencers, Full-Autos, etc) incur a $100 transfer fee each.
  • Dance's Sporting Goods does not accept inbound transfers from individuals. Transfers are accepted only from licensed FFL holders.
  • You will be required to complete paperwork for a state and federal background check and will only be transferred the firearm after approval from the Virginia State Police. Please bring a valid Driver's License or state-issued Identification card with your current physical address listed.   • We will call you when the firearm is ready for pickup. If you were given a tracking number by the parcel carrier and have been tracking the package, delivery of the item to our store does not mean it is ready for pickup. Our receiving department must check the firearm into our system before it can be picked up.

 

 

 

If you have a firearm in your possession that has been sold or needs to be transferred out to a manufacturer or another licensed FFL holder, please read below:

  • Currently, our transfer fee is $50. Transfers of 3 or more guns at the SAME TIME will be $40 each.
  • A firearm cannot be directly shipped to an individual. It must go through a licensed FFL holder.
  • You will be responsible for any applicable shipping costs.
  • Please ensure the firearm is unloaded before bringing it into the store.
  • We will provide the box and packaging for shipment. If you prefer the gun to be cased, feel free to provide a case to ship it in, but please do not lock it as we will need to verify that the gun is unloaded and also verify the serial number on the gun.
